What are the most common jobs performed by roofers?

A roofers job is to repair or restore a roof in order for it to last longer for the owners. There are many types of materials that can be used to repair or restore a roof and they all have different methods of how they are installed. A professional roofer will know the ins and outs of each material and will be highly skilled in the installation process of each one.

Some of the most common jobs to be carried out by roofers are:

  • Tile Removal
  • Rubber Roof Installation
  • Tar Application
  • Shingle Installation
  • Job Estimating
  • Fireplaces (believe it or not, click the link and see for yourself.)

What is the most common?

Whether you are moving to a new house that needs a little tlc on the roof or your own roof hasn’t been looked after and maintained for a while, you may be at risk of your loft leaking, tiles forming cracks or the colours of the tiles unattractively fading.

When a tile roof needs restoring, a professional roofer will carefully remove each tile and inspect. The roof will then be underlaid with the right materials and the old tiles will be cleaned and carefully placed back on top, whilst replacing any damaged tiles along the way.

Which one is the most important?

Out of all the jobs a roofer carries out, job estimating is the most important. A roofers job is to also be the job estimator, this is the person that will meet with all clients and provide them with an honest, estimate of expenses for the work that is about to be carried out. The roofer must have the ability to formulate an accurate estimate and make sure it is realistic as the job could depend on it.

So, me and my friend Shane finally got round to traveling to Siberia, he been that busy with his new business stourbridge tree surgeons… Siberia is well known for its cold weather and beautiful rare animals that roam the lands. Siberia is so big and it actually occupies around 9 percent dry land mass on earth! With its Ural mountains in the West of Siberia and the Pacific Ocean surrounding the East, the South of Siberia is where you will find Asia, China and other places and then the North is where you can fid the Artic ocean.

3D printing could take over

By |December 18th, 2015|Categories: Print|

Well, with 3D printing now becoming available, it will soon take over everything. The 3D printer can make various ceramic shapes and with these new materials, rumour has it that scientists are now looking at finding the 3D printing useful for hypersonic aircraft and also microscopic devices because of how flawless and strong the outcome of the printing can be. Because ceramics are strong and contain so many different useful properties that make it an extremely (more…)

I am sure we all remember when the first Nintendo came out, it was like Christmas every day and i literally used to be on it 24 hours, 7 days a week! Well, things go ‘out of fashion’ and new toys are invented like the Wii and various other companies brought out new and improved games consoles that each took over the one previous. Well, Nintendo has been forgotten for a while now in my eyes but they are definitely about to give game lovers something to talk about!
